Well this is a surprise.
Two of the routes here have been mentioned in Ontario By Bike’s annual guide to cycling in the province. The Port Hope to PTBO and the Coburg to PTBO routes get a shout-out as worthy routes to try and better yet, string together into a 2-day weekender.
I need to take issue with their reportage however. The Port Hope to PTBO route is MUCH less hilly.
In light of the routes being mentioned I made a point of getting out to drive them (March 29, 2021) just to see if any updates needed to be made. Both are generally in as good a shape as I’ve ever seen them. Riding north from Coburg is definitely a climber’s route though. The halfway stop in Bewdley will be a welcome break for many.
